Free Resignation Letter Template

This is the resignation letter format that you must submit when resigning from a company.

Overview

A resignation letter is a document that you submit to inform the company that you are resigning from your position. In other words, it's a document you submit to indicate your intention to leave the company.
However, submitting a resignation letter doesn't necessarily mean you can immediately leave the company.

If the employer approves the resignation letter, it becomes effective on the date of approval. However, if the employer does not approve it, it becomes effective after one month from the date of submission.

This is stipulated in Article 660 of the Civil Act.

Essential Items to Include in a Resignation Letter

• Name, Date of Birth (Since there are many people with the same name, it's important to include the date of birth for clear identification)
• Affiliation (Company Name)
• Position (Not all companies have positions, so this is not mandatory)
• Resignation Date (The Ministry of Employment and Labor verifies this, so it's mandatory)
• Reason for Resignation (The Ministry of Employment and Labor also verifies this. There are various reasons, such as job change, voluntary resignation, recommended resignation, dismissal, etc.)
• Date of Resignation Letter Submission (Since the employer may not approve the resignation, this is mandatory)
• Signature and Seal of the Submitting Party

How to Modify

• Make a copy of the file to your 'My Drive' using [File] → [Make a copy] and then modify the file.

• Download the file as a Word document using [File] → [Download] and modify it. However, this may cause the file to become corrupted.

How to Modify the Resignation Letter

• You need to modify the yellow areas. You'll need to modify almost everything.^^;
• You don't have to write anything in the 'Other' section. If there's something you need to write, you can do so.
• Don't forget to include your seal/stamp.
• Once you're done modifying, change the text background color to white.

Tip. If you want to insert a seal/stamp into the file, click [Insert] → [Image] → [Insert image in cell] and insert your seal/stamp.
