The 'Korea International Tourism Show (KITS)', a tourism and travel exhibition held for the purpose of global+local tourism, will be held from July 19 to 22 at KINTEX Hall 2, Ilsan, under the theme of 'Cooperation between domestic and overseas cities, and travel creators (YouTube, influencers, celebrities)'.

KITS, now in its 9th year, is a tourism exhibition designed to contribute to the development of the tourism industry through the expansion of the tourism market based on mutual cooperation between domestic and overseas tourism, and to revitalize local tourism industries through the internationalization of domestic cities.

KITS is co-hosted by the KITS Organizing Committee and the Korea Local Newspaper Association, and organized by the Korea Exhibition Industry Institute.

Over 250 organizations and companies, including about 130 domestic local governments and overseas cities, as well as travel and tourism-related companies, organizations, and associations, are expected to participate in the exhibition with about 500 booths.

KITS will showcase a variety of attractions and entertainment, including overseas promotion to attract tourists to Korea, promotion of Korea's excellent tourism resources, promotion of international tourist cities and countries, creation of a platform for tourism networks between domestic and overseas tourism content, provision of a platform for diverse travel information and experiences, conferences on smart tourism, K-POP idol performances, character performances, and more.

In particular, this year, special events are prepared to allow travel and tourism creators to collaborate with domestic and overseas cities, companies, organizations, and associations participating in the event, and the 'KITS Creator Awards' will be held for the first time in Korea.

Jung Chang-soo, Chairman of the KITS Organizing Committee, said, "During the exhibition this year, we plan to create opportunities for diverse exchanges with overseas outbound travel agencies, related associations, and organizations to attract tourists to Korea." He added, "We are preparing for KITS to be a leader in the future tourism market by expanding smart tourism, which is emerging as the core of the future tourism market, and presenting various alternative solutions."

KITS is the travel and tourism exhibition with the most participation from domestic cities, and it aims to provide diverse and practical information necessary for the internationalization of tourism in domestic cities. In addition, it is operating various programs to serve as a platform for mutual cooperation and networking among participating overseas buyers, countries, and cities.

The Korea Exhibition Industry, the organizer of KITS, announced that KITS is expanding its network internationally, including signing MOUs with the Beijing International Tourism Exhibition, Shanghai World Travel Expo, Guangzhou International Tourism Industry Exhibition, Shenzhen International Tourism Exhibition, Hainan International Tourism Exhibition in China, and the Taiwan Taipei International Tourism Exhibition, and the Vietnam Hanoi International Tourism Exhibition, to promote mutual activation and cooperation among tourism exhibitions.

They added that they are preparing for this year's KITS with travel and tourism creators to further expand the tourism industry in Korea and help participating cities develop through global+local tourism.
