This is a form that proves your work experience at the company.

Overview

A Certificate of Employment is generally a certificate provided to retired employees. (For those currently employed, a Certificate of Current Employment is provided.)

It has the following conditions.

• According to Article 39 of the Labor Standards Act and Article 19 of its Enforcement Decree (Request for Certificate of Employment), immediate issuance is required if the following conditions are met.
• Employees who have worked for 30 days or more can request it.
• If requested within 3 years of retirement.

If the above conditions are all met, it is to be issued.

Normally, information about employment history can also be found in employment insurance, income tax withholding, and health insurance enrollment information. Therefore, when requesting a Certificate of Employment, it is often to specifically verify what kind of workwas performed at that company.

Essential Information for the Certificate of Employment Form

• Company Information: Company name, company address, representative's name, company seal
• Information to Identify the Employee: Name, date of birth, resident registration number, home address, etc.
• From the start date to the end date of employment
• If possible, specific job responsibilities

Attaching Files to Google Drive

The file is in Google Docs. The advantages of uploading files to Google Drive are as follows.

• Google automatically performs virus checks.
• Even without MS Office or Hangul (hwp) installed on your computer, anyone can edit and modify it with just a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace).
• As long as there is an internet connection, it can be used on all devices, including PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

• Real-time collaboration: Multiple people can edit the document simultaneously.
• Using Google's powerful search function in Google Drive makes finding files very easy.

How to Modify

• Move the file to [My Drive] by using [File] → [Make a copy] and then modify the file.

• How to Copy for Modification of the Certificate of Employment * Download it as a Word document by selecting [File] → [Download], and then modify the file. In this case, the file may be corrupted.

How to Modify the Certificate of Employment

1. Modify the content in the yellow area to match your own information.

2. Modify the content in the light green area to match your company's information.

3. Press Ctrl+A to select all, then click [Fill Color] and change the background to white.

4. Select [File] → [Download] and download as a PDF.

Tip. If you want to add a company seal to the file, click [Insert] → [Image] → [Insert image on cell] to add the seal.
